50 CENT KEEPS HIS GOOD LUCK STREAK GOING

I truly think all the pain 50 Cent went through came back to him in tenfold. When 50 Cent released his G-Unit radio mixtapes on the streets of Queens back in the days, it was pandemonium. Every bootlegger on Jamaica Avenue played it and every car that passed by played it everywhere. It was the story of an underdog who rose from being shot and blackballed by powerful street dudes and people in the music industry who just did not want to see him win. 50 is now celebrating his latest additions to his platinum and gold plaque collection. 50 received 15 platinum and six gold plaques, while asking imagine if he never gave some of his songs away. Suprisingly new platinum certifications were “I Get Money,” “Patiently Waiting” featuring his mentor Eminem, “Best Friend,” “Outta Control,” “Hate It Or Love It” and “Window Shopper.” Records that added to their multi-platinum certifications already were “In Da Club,” “Just A Lil’ Bit,” “Disco Inferno,” “Many Men (Wish Death),” “P.I.M.P.,” “Candy Shop” and more. 50’s collaboration with the late Nate Dogg titled “21 Questions” off his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was also included on the list for going four-times platinum. Many rappers of this generation have given 50 his props by redoing "Many Men" and just respecting him for the "Power" franchise.

50 CENT ALSO HAD GOOD REASON TO CELEBRATE LIL MEECH BEING CLEARED OF GUN CHARGES

As reported previously Lil Meech was arrested for possession of a gun in Florida but resolution of a gun case that had BMF star Lil Meech potentially facing a felony charge due to what his attorneys called an innocent mistake. The Broward County State Attorney’s Office has decided to drop its original felony charge because it belonged to Lil Meech's bodyguard. This is good news for 50, Lil Meech and even Big Meech serving time.

The actor (real name Demetrius Flenory Jr.) was placed in police custody at the Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida on that day after airport security discovered a firearm in his carry-on luggage. However, it turns out that the 9MM handgun — and the bag in which it was found — belonged to Lil Meech’s bodyguard.

The bodyguard admitted to owning the gun at the time of the arrest, however authorities reportedly ignored him.

The BMF star’s attorney Bradford Cohen has since presented prosecutors with a purchase receipt, gun case and license to carry that all effectively prove the gun did not belong to his client. He also explained that the two men happen to own similar carry-on bags and that, on the date in question, Lil Meech accidentally grabbed his employee’s luggage thinking it was his.

Broward County prosecutors have also decided not to move forward with a potential misdemeanor charge against Lil Meech, based on the evidence presented and statements made by Cohen and the bodyguard.
