THEY KEEP COMING 20 YEARS LATER....

By no means am I saying incidents of rape don't happen or shouldn't be punished, but 20 years after committing a crime is a bit of a long time to still take into serious consideration. Putting old men in jail that thrived in their 20's and 30's and now in their 50's and 70's having to go to jail just doesn't sit right with me. An anonymous victim has now filed an affidavit claiming that Mike Tyson forced himself on her in a club named September back in the days. Her affidavit read “I met Mike Tyson in the early 1990s at a dance club called September. My friend and I were hanging out with him and his limousine driver. Tyson told us about a party and asked us to join him. My friend was going to drop off her car and Tyson said he would pick her up in the limousine.” She claims that her and Tyson were on their way to pick up her friend when he raped and assaulted her. She says Mike tried to kiss her despite being told “no” several times. “He then pulled my pants off and violently raped me. “s a result of Tyson’s rape, I suffered and continue to suffer from physical, psychological, and emotional injury.” She is seeking $5 million in damages.

Mike Tyson will always be the People's champion. He was great friends with Tupac and has always been embeded in the hip hop culture somehow. Unfortunately this latest allegation of rape is not Tyson's first. He was previously sentenced to six years in Plainfield Correctional Facility and four years probation after being convicted of raping Desiree Washington in 1992. Tyson said despite being locked up, he kept up a disciplined workout routine to prepare for when he’d ultimately get back in the ring. He said that he would run ‘eight or nine miles’ in his cell, and he'd continuously jump up and down at night. He also said “My cell has a concrete floor, right? I indented it with my feet into the concrete floor. I was 285 lbs.. I came out 215 lbs.” He also found peace and the religion of Islam while in one of his prison terms.
