HOT DAMN! HERE WE GO AGAIN - MC LYTE

I think being from other cultures makes us not know what is offensive if we are not exposed to certain negative terms. We all know the obvious negative terms, don't need to say them to explain. Now Whoopi has used a word that she probably thought could be used on national television. We all know we are in an extra-sensitive time where the press and certain groups are going over the top to shut people down, pay monetary methods to say "sorry" or simply just correct them, what a time. Whoopi Goldberg has apologized after she used a racial slur during an episode of The View.

On yesterday's episode (March 15) of the talk show, the panel spoke on Donald Trump's connection to adult film actor Stormy Daniels. “The people who still believe that he got, you know, gyp**d somehow in the election, will still believe that he cared enough about his wife to pay the… “ Goldberg said, pausing to burp. “…that was gas… money from his personal thing.” The word “gypsy” is offensive to people in certain communities. Oh boy. Here we go again.

APOLOGY GIVEN

Goldberg released an apology video through the show’s Twitter account saying “When you’re a certain age, you use words that you know from when you’re a kid or you remember saying, and that’s what I did today and I shouldn’t of. “I should have thought about it a little longer before I said it, but I didn’t. I should have said ‘cheated’ and I used another word and I’m really, really sorry. She also apologized a while ago for saying the Holocaust "isn't about race." It just seems you can not speak on the Jewish culture period. In her other apology, Goldberg said: “On today’s show I said the Holocaust is not about race, but about man’s inhumanity to man. I should have said it is about both.”  She added: “The Jewish people around the world have always had my support and that will never (waver). I am sorry for the hurt I have caused.” Ok, let's move on.
