THESE GUYS HAVE A LOT TO BE PROUD OF

The Quality Control Music creators Pierre "P" Thomas and Kevin "Coach K" Lee have been given their own day in Atlanta. They had a ceremony this past Wednesday (March 15) and were honored by the Georgia House of Representatives Office. This is well deserved by guys who invested their hard-earned capital into artists such as the Migos, Lil Baby, and more. They now actually have expanded and created a media empire — QC Sports, Quality Films, and Quality Ventures. “You have been chosen to be honored on QC Day because you have worked diligently at your craft and brought millions of dollars in revenue along with notoriety to the City of Atlanta.” QC superstar Lil Baby was also on deck to show love to his mentors. The city announced “March 15 Is Officially ‘QC Day,'” he wrote on Instagram while sharing footage from the ceremony. “Thank You Parker Cannon, Dexter Sharper and The Georgia House Of Representatives. It’s Always A Blessing When Your Hard Work Gets Acknowledged. #KeepGoingForward.” “It Always Seems Impossible Until It’s Done. #KeepGoing.”

BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT, RESPECTFULLY

Relax guys, No shade at all, but I want to bring light to one of the first New York record labels doing exactly what QC is currently doing. It was called DEF JAM records. It expanded it's brand from mostly hardcore hip-hop music to comedy to film to clothing brands and more. Def Jam has actually been acquired the same way QC has been acquired in its recent $300 Million dollar blockbuster deal. Pee was criticized for building up a Black-owned company only to sell it to white America, but Russel Simmons defended the move on social media and said all those haters need to educate themselves thoroughly before they speak. Rush says the music industry is a very weird space now and in 1999, Russel sold off Def Jam Records, the label he co-founded for an estimated $120 million. The smartest thing to do in life is to create a business and sell it off or sell a portion of it as many strong businessmen do in society. Def Jam is still around to this day and Russel Simmons says QC will flourish all the same under Scooter Braun. He also doesn't think race played a role in the sale. Welcome to America ladies and gentlemen where the only color which truly matters is Green. Boom.
