SHOT EXECUTION STYLE
After seeing the surveillance video which shows a young man literally shoot another kid in the head, he goes back to finish the job to ensure he was dead. As everybody ran away from harm, this shooting was crazy as Miami spring breakers ran for their lives yesterday (Sunday - March 20th.) The footage shows crowds walking around 3:30 a.m. when a gunman completes his mission. The victim is then seen falling to the ground as the gunman continues firing at him. The shooter has been identified as Dontavious Leonard Polk, a 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale. Polk was being held Sunday night on a first-degree murder charge.
TWO DAYS EARLIER
Just a few days earlier, a man died and another was injured when more gunshots took place in South Beach causing crowded streets from the mayhem. Cops found four guns and have not shared any other details. The violence caused the city to re-enact a curfew Sunday night, stopping tourists and partygoers in South Beach from being outside from 11:59 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday. The strict curfew did not apply to residents going to and from work, emergency services, and hotel guests. Hotels can stay open later to serve their guests, but restaurants can also make deliveries after midnight. A few people were arrested for not following the rules as well in South Beach. Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber said, "We don’t ask for spring break in our city.” “We don’t want spring break in our city. It’s too rowdy, it’s too much disorder and it’s too difficult to police. Officials may instate another curfew through March 27, with the restrictions focused on South Beach, the popular tourist spot that spring breakers love.
