Ice Cube is momumental for his contributions to the West Coast hip hop genre and went on to create movies as well. Within the last few years he has created a league for recently retired basketball players and not retired basketball players to play as well. He was very vocal about getting pushback from the NBA but now he is recieving an award and a award named after him and his movement. He is being honored by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame with the inaugural Ice Cube Impact Award. You can tell Ice Cube doesn't do things he doesn't want to do. He believes in going against the system and in doing so probably created one of the best rap albums made with the help of Public Enemy's production team the Bomb Squad.
