Number 45 is shooting back at number 23. Following an interview with Don Lemon on CNN where basketball icon Lebron James shared his thoughts on Donald Trump and his division attacks on sports, the President responded with unkind words aimed at the King.
"Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon." Trump tweeted. "He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do. I like Mike!"
Trumps latest attack sent social media into a firestorm with a response from Don Lemon himself.
"Who's the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?" Lemon shot back.
Basketball icon Michael Jordan who was a subject of Trump's tweet also responded, siding with Lebron.
"I support LJ" Jordan said via a press release. "He's doing an amazing job for his community."
In their sitdown interview on the CNN James weighed in on Trump.
"He's trying to divide our sport, but at the end of the day, sport is the reason why we all come together," said James.
Lemon then followed, "What would you say to the President if he was sitting right here?" "I would never sit across from him." James added: "I'd sit across from Barack, though."
