Lauryn Hill has often been compared to soul legend and musical angel Nina Simone. The Fugees songstress embraced the likeness of her artistry to the late musician not only in song, but in her unapologetically black, powerful and unique delivery that encompassed everything great about Black music.

In addition to their unique musical package, both women had a history fo relationship problems which fueled the authenticity and passion of their music. 

 Nashville, Tennessee DJ/producer Amerigo Gazaway captured the similar styles of Nina Simone and L Boogie on his new mashup project Nina Simone & Lauryn Hill: The Miseducation of Eunice Waymon. The title references Ms.Simone’s birth name. Having built a reputation as one of the elite mash-up conductors, Gazaway pulls highlights from Nina Simone’s legendary tracks and fusing them with Lauryn gems not only from The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill but also her legendary Fugees era of the mid to late 90s.
