The whole entire story is crazy. Jeffrey Epstein just had all the money in the world, promising young models a promising future while his partner seduces these young women to an island to be raped and lied to. Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted of sex trafficking and more charges late last year. Now she was finally sentenced to 20 years, though she didn't seem to take responsibility for the role that she played in the trauma of dozens when given a chance to speak. 

She expressed empathy for the survivors, saying that meeting Epstein was the "greatest regret of [her] life," adding that he was "a manipulative, cunning and controlling man who lived a profoundly compartmentalized life." The judge wasn't falling for it though, making it clear of her own role in the situation, reminding her that she was being punished for her crimes, and not Epstein's. He said Ghislaine's actions were "predatory." She "normalized" sexual abuse through "involvement, encouragement, and instruction." If it was up to me she would never see daylight again. She is currently 60 years old and will more than likely do about 10 to 15 years with probation eligibility for good behavior.
