Nicki Minaj has put in work for years and has been good at it too. She recently started a record label and reunited with her Young Money squad in Toronto and has a new single arriving soon called "Freaky Girl." his year she will be receiving a Vanguard award for all of her achievements and contributions to the music industry. Previous Vanguard Award recipients include Madonna, Janet Jackson, LL Cool J, Jennifer Lopez, and Missy Elliott. She also will perform during the awards show, which is airing live from Newark, New Jersey, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Aug. 28.
